Easter eggs and goodie bags….

Yesterday we had a family brunch, including ten kids. So my son and I prepared goodie bags for the kids, big and small.

Here’s how you get quick, non-plastic, home made, Easter goodie bags. BTW, plastic is a big issue to me. It’s everywhere, readily available, and increasingly polluting our planet…even our bodies ( but about that, another time). So, I try, whenever possible, to avoid using plastic items. It’s not as easy as you think, cause everything today contains it! Even if the item you buy isn’t made of plastic…the wrapping it is in IS!

Either way, to make the Easter goodie bags we used paper lunch bags…I only found white ones at our local store, even though I would have preferred non bleached ones. And with that we used all kinds of easter stickers (and granted, some were made of plastic, the others were wrapped in it…but you do what you can when you’re in a time constraint). We decorated the bags randomly, and this is what we came up with:

And for the older kids we made these…

And below you can see some of the items we put inside. Beside of the candy, each kid got one mini-present, such as a bead bracelet, or the older kids got a mini-perfume for example…

Aside of the goodie bags, my son made some colored easter eggs. Image

But those are for our enjoyment! 😉

BTW, you can see the result of the eggs in the goodie bag picture above…

Do you color your eggs like that as well? Or what other methods to you use?

In the meantime, we wish you all a very happy, and fun filled Easter egg hunt and a great holiday altogether!
